David Shea - The Tower of Mirrors

At Tonton Mahood

This is way the fuck all over the place. It's the sound of someone dreaming in audio. Exotic, sexy, weird dreams. One minute you're a jade emperor, and the next you're a... gong of some kind. It's all over the place and everywhere it goes is good. Ingredients: field recordings, plunderphonics, synths, opium, embalming spices, brocade, tombs of the emperors, more spices, "other".

Tetsu Inoue - Inland, 2007

I'm listening to the track "tree and me". Imagine one of the more ambient-ish music sequences from the Blade Runner soundtrack, with all the detail and texture and interestingness, but done with a warm, enveloping and optimistic feeling. This is what it must feel like to be hugged by an angel who reads The Wire and shops at Boomkat. It's spiritual music for people who gag at the thought of spiritual music.
